ALUMIUM Series 02 "LEAN"

When I reimagined how a picture frame should fit into modern life, I envisioned a frame that could be displayed without needing to make a hole in the wall. This product, named "LEAN," is a picture frame designed to be leaned against the wall.

The side of the frame is slanted at a 10-degree angle. This tilt allows the frame to be placed on the floor or a shelf, making it stable and capable of leaning gently against the wall. After repeated testing, I found that this 10-degree tilt creates a visually pleasing effect and decided it was the perfect angle for a beautiful, modern interior.

A metal fitting and a string are attached to the back of the frame, allowing it to also be hung on the wall if desired.

The inside of the frame gently curves toward the artwork, creating a soft and rich impression. Designed by a graphic designer with a background in architecture, the frame features a design that blends seamlessly with its surroundings while showcasing the artwork.

The surface of the "Matte Black" and "Matte Silver" finishes is treated with shot blasting and a matte coating, enhancing the luxurious feel and highlighting the high-quality aluminum material.

If you prefer to use the frame by leaning it against a floor or shelf, this product is perfect for those seeking a simple yet elegant solution.

Since its release as a premium aluminum picture frame, "LEAN" has been highly praised by designers, photographers, and contemporary artists. It received the 2019 GOOD DESIGN Award—an outstanding achievement, as it is the first aluminum picture frame to win in 30 years.

For sizes with a short side of 202mm or less and a long side of 1031mm or more, the frame uses washer screws.
